Domaine La Madura

“We bought Domaine La Madura for its wonderful cépage and terroir, not for our own comfort and convenience.” So say Cyril and Nadia Bourgne. After being cellar master at Château de Fieuzal in Bordeaux, Cyril Bourgne returned to his roots with his wife Nadia in the Languedoc. Convinced by the quality of the terroirs of Domaine La Madura, they bought a mosaic of land parcels on the outskirts of the town. Through determination, passion and sheer hard work, the couple have overcome many obstacles to capitalise on their vineyard’s great diversity of soil types, altitude, exposure and grape varieties. Despite being the most recently established on our list, they have more press cuttings and complimentary reviews than many others. Try them and see.

An elegant wine from argilocalcaire soils, this wine has the freshness and crisp acidity associated with Sauvignon Blanc along with citrus and floral aromas.

Aromas of raisins and figs, a hint of vanilla, garrigue herbs and spices create a very attractive nose and palate supported by a firm structure and supple tannins. A rounded wine with a long finish.
