Marsanne

Marsanne is often blended with Roussanne but doesn’t have quite the same status. Its wines, though, can be good with some acidity and an attractive bouquet. The plant is vigorous, fertile and needs sharp pruning to limit its yields.

Borie de Maurel Aude Blanc / 2008 / white
£ 11.75
Made almost entirely from Marsanne this wine is rich and complex with white peach on the nose. A creamy, fleshy palate with crisp acidity, citrus notes, spice and texture. This wine is drinking superbly now and will age well due to maturation on its lees. Learn More
