Following the example and encouragement of his son, Olivier Jullien of Mas Jullien, Jean-Pierre Jullien decided in 1993 to create his own domain after many years of working with the co-operative. From his first vintage the superior quality of the production was recognised and Mas Cal Demoura, meaning “il faut rester” [you must stay], which became Jean-Pierre’s motto when many growers left their vineyards for the city in the early 90s, soon became one of the Languedoc “grand cru”. His wines are found on many of the best restaurant lists in France. In 2004 Jean-Pierre Jullien decided to prepare for his retirement and began handing over the estate to Isabelle and Vincent Goumard who, as well as continuing production of the popular red cuvée “L’Infidèle” and rosé have created their first vintages of a delicious and
stunning white cuvée.
Labelled the “meilleur rosé du Languedoc” by Revue du Vin de France, this rosé shares the same production philosophy as the red and white and is made from the same five grape varieties with Cinsault being predominant.
