Domaine Begude - Sauvignon Blanc / 2008 / White
Quick Overview
With a sharp elderflower nose and fresh zesty citrus palate this wine is the perfect synthesis between New Zealand Sauvignon with its tropical fruit and a deliciously crisp, herbaceous Sauvignon from the Loire. The complexity of the Languedoc terroir provides the winning formula. If you like Sauvignon Blanc you’ll love this.
Domaine Description
James and Catherine Kinglake moved to France from London and have not looked back since producing their first vintage in 2004. Having bought the biodynamically worked vines from Robert Eden they set about their aim which was to produce ecologically responsible and superb quality still, wines using the existing terroir and to add a modern twist to their white wines which could rival the best from around the world. The terroir is excellent, the cooler climate a gift and the wines are impeccable and affordable…despite the cost of the tons of organic sheep and cow manure they buy in to fertilise the vines!
They want every bottle to arrive in tip top condition and to this end they close all their bottles with Stelvin screw caps.
