Clos Bagatelle - Muscat de Saint Jean de Minervois / 2006 / White
Quick Overview
A classic example of a very well-made sweet Muscat de Saint Jean de Minervois, nectar on the palate. Traditionally drunk by the French as an apéritif, this style is now often served with foie gras, blue cheeses and desserts.
Domaine Description
Situated just outside the town of Saint-Chinian, Clos Bagatelle is surrounded by 39 hectares of land planted with Grenache, Syrah, Carignan, Mourvèdre and Cinsault vines, up to 80 years in age. Their difference, the Simons believe, lies in their passion, their continuity, and the paysan and balanced qualities of their wines. By this, Luc laughingly explains, he means that after one glass, you will inevitably want another.
