Mas Jullien - Etats D'Ame / 2002 / Red
Quick Overview
This is the second red wine of Mas Jullien and a more convivial wine with less ageing in wood. Made from 40% Grenache, 30% Syrah and the balance Cinsault and Carignan, this wine is very approachable with juicy red fruit and a hint of pepper.
Domaine Description
Olivier is a reflective and philiosophical man, particularly on matters "paysan", he is certainly more comfortable in his vinyard than in his office. His wines, from low yields are produced using biodynamic principles.
His range of wines now usually includes one red and one white cuveé of Mas Jullien and one or more Etats D'Ame, depending on the vintage and how Olivier's mood takes him.
