This very complex wine will keep and develop for many years. Made from classic Bordeaux varieties, it undergoes Médoc style vinification with a long fermentation and 12-16 months in old oak barrels. Alain feared that the 2003 vintage may not be up to scratch so lowered the price, he was therefore both delighted and sad to discover that it was just as excellent as all other vintages when the vinification had finished, he says this will be a collectors item. This wine is aged in French oak barriques and displays delicious spicy dark fruit and smooth tannins. Like all the wines of Domaine Soulanes the wine has not been filtered or fined and can develop a deposit so decanting is recommended.
