Daniel and Cathy Lafitte are the perfect winemaking partnership: Daniel makes the wine and Cathy supports him with the admin and marketing as well as helping out in the vineyard. They own 17 hectares of vines around Mas Amiel in the district of Tautavel, the latest acquisition being a small vineyard named “le pantalon”. Daniel and Cathy bought the domaine in the late nineties after working with the previous owner and Daniel’s step father for 15 years and renamed it Domaine des Soulanes (a Soulane is a south/south east facing hillside).
